This is what one thousand dollars worth of wood looks like.

The good stuff is all 8/4, clear, straight grained western red cedar, Alaskan yellow cedar, and redwood cut locally. The box beams are 8 feet long, for scale. I converted half of that to sawdust, by the time all the strips were milled. Tygee disapproves.
